Healthy Body and Mind in the 21st Century at The Californian The Californian offers many different types of exercises of the 21st century. The new style of Latin-fused dance called Zumba by Mallory is offered to get the blood flowing south of the border!!!, but itdoesn’t stop there. Wii fitness w/ Aaron has made its way to The Californian. You will see residents just having a great time, may it be bowling, archery, tennis or boxing (Be sure to watch out for our resident Wii boxing champ Rose Smith aka “Knockout Rose”. All this fun and they are working out to keep a healthy mind and body!!! Daily exercise is a key to a longer life. It has many benefits such as decreased risk of falling, increased mental health, and decreased risks associated with diseases such as Alzheimer’s. It helps reduce high blood pressure, decreases risk of heart disease or stroke, weight management and increases bone density. So, don’t be a stranger, and join in all the fun.
