When you move to The Californian you become part of a community where there's always something going on. A big part of our celebration of life is our emphasis on activities and social programs. These programs are designed to keep life full of fun and open opportunities for interaction. All activities are designed to enhance and encourage each resident's independence, special needs and enjoyment. Residents are encouraged to choose activities that suit their own interests, and to participate in as many as they like.
Our full time Activities Directors coordinate a diverse and stimulating range of physical, creative, cultural, educational and spiritual activities for seniors. Some of the ranges of activities that are offered are as follows:
Even though there's plenty to do at The Californian, you'll find even more to enjoy in the surrounding community. A Yolo Bus stop right in front of The Californian provides transportation throughout Woodland, with routes to Davis and downtown Sacramento. Several Chartered buses regularly depart Woodland for the casinos of Reno and South Shore at Lake Tahoe.
